Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 2026

This policy explains how personal data is handled on oteogps.com, the public website of OTEO. OTEO is a product in development; this website is informational and does not offer the OTEO service yet.

1. Who is responsible

The data controller for this website is the team behind OTEO. For any privacy question or request, contact walid@oteogps.com.

2. What this website collects

This website has no user accounts, no contact forms, no advertising and no analytics or tracking cookies. Fonts and images are served from our own domain, without third-party requests.

  • Technical data: like any website, our hosting provider processes connection data (such as IP address, browser type and requested pages) to deliver the site and protect it against abuse.
  • Emails you send us: if you write to us, we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and the content of your message.

3. Why we use it and on what legal basis

  • To deliver and secure the website — our legitimate interest in operating a safe, working site.
  • To answer your email and, if you ask us to, keep you informed about OTEO’s development — your request and, where applicable, your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

4. How long we keep it

We keep email correspondence for as long as needed to handle your request, and up to the moment you ask us to stop contacting you. Technical logs are kept by the hosting provider for limited periods under its own policies.

5. Who we share it with

We do not sell personal data. The website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, which acts as a service provider for delivery and security and may process data outside the European Economic Area under appropriate safeguards. Our email provider stores the messages you send us.

6. Your rights

You can ask for access to, rectification or deletion of your data, object to or restrict its processing, and request its portability, by writing to walid@oteogps.com. If you believe your rights have not been respected, you can lodge a complaint with your data protection authority (in Spain, the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos — aepd.es).

7. The OTEO service

The future OTEO app and tracker will process location and vehicle data, which deserves special care. Before the service is available, it will have its own privacy policy explaining exactly what is collected, why, for how long and how you can export or delete it.

8. Changes

We may update this policy as the project evolves. The date at the top shows the latest version.
